Yosemite Hotels

Yosemite was set aside in 1864 by Abraham Lincoln in order to allow the public to enjoy Yosemite Valley's high waterfalls, deep cliffs, open meadows, and oak woodlands as well as the Mariposa Grove's massive and ancient giant sequoias. When it became a national park in 1890, it was expanded to include Tuolumne Meadows and the high country.

Yosemite National Park is accessible by automobile all year, 24 hours per day. Reservations are not required to enter. However, reservations for accommodations are strongly recommended if you wish to spend the night in the park. Luxury lodging in Yosmite Valley is available at:

2GETGold.com Recommends luxury lodging at Yosemite Tenaya Lodge as well. These reservations are much easier to make on short notice and provides excellent overnight accommodations. The rates are very reasonable for this quality. The hotel is located just two miles from Yosemite Park's south entrance on Highway 41.

Airlines and trains can get you to central California. We recommend lodging south of Yosemite in Fresno Hotels which is less than an hour from the park entrance. You will have to arrive in the park by car or bus. Once in Yosemite, you can travel around the park by car, bus, or bicycle.
