Black Sheep Winery opened in 1986, featuring small releases
of wine handcrafted from high quality grapes grown in
Calaveras, Amador and El Dorado Counties. We produce
about 3,900 cases of wine per year, specializing in
zinfandel, but also producing cabernet sauvignon,
sauvignon blanc and a second label we call True Frogs
Lily Pad White. This wine pays homage to our jumping
frog heritage here in Calaveras County!

The Murphys Historic Hotel serves an award-winning prime rib, rack of lamb, filet mignon and our famous fried chicken. As a traditional dinnerhouse, we are known for our Caesar salad and housemade mousse, apple crisp and bread pudding. The main dining room seats 32 and is a favorite dinner spot for locals and out-of-town guests. Just off the main room is the Gold Room which seats up to 50 and is frequently requested for social events, luncheons, festive occasions, family gatherings and meetings. Decorated in charming period antiques, the dining experience is reminiscent of another time. Rumor has it that a ghost visits the kitchen and Eleanor’s picture is said to be the one hanging in the Gold Room.

Zucca Mountain Vineyards

Visit the unique grotto-like tasting room in the cellar
of a 150 year old historic building. Open daily from
12-5 PM. The Zucca's are not only the owners but the
