Angel Island State Park
Angel Island State Park, offers spectacular views of the San Francisco
skyline. Angel Island became a State Park in 1958.

Big Basin Redwoods State Park
Big Basin Redwoods State Park was acquired in 1902 and is the oldest State
Park in California. The park has creeks, trails, waterfalls and redwoods.

Butano State Park
Butano State Park is a 3,200-acre redwood park in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Only three miles from the coast, the park's trails offer views of the ocean.
The park is 5 miles south of Pescadero on Cloverdale Rd. It is between
Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz in San Mateo County.

Half Moon Bay State Beach
Half Moon Bay State Beach has a total of two miles of sandy shore. The park
features a trail for horseback riding that runs parallel to the ocean frontage.
Nearby private stables rent horses for rides along the beach. The campsites
are about a half of a mile walk to the beach.
The park is 1 mile west of Highway 1 on Kelly Ave.

Two group campsites open all year (maximum 30 campers each).
Reservations can be made via the Presidio Trust Special Events Office.

Mt. Diablo State Park
On a clear day, visitors can see 35 of California's 58 counties. With
binoculars, Yosemite's Half Dome is even visible from Mt. Diablo. Hiking
and rock climbing are available here. The mountain was regarded as
sacred to Native Americans.
25 miles north across the Golden Gate Bridge on US101, then take
CA1 Southwest. Beautiful and on the peninsula. Near Stinson Beach.
64 camping spots, flushing toilets, can accommodate RV's not to
exceed 24 feet in length.

Mt. Tamalpais State Park
Just north of the Golden Gate is Mount Tamalpais, 6,300 acres of
redwood groves and oak woodlands with a spectacular view from the
2,571-foot peak. On rare occasions, the Sierra Nevada's snow-covered
mountains can be seen 150 miles away.
