Weather and Forecast: As is true with the largest valley, the San Joaquin valley can get pretty hot in the mid summer months with 90+ temperatures and frequently with very little breeze to offer a break from the heat. Better make sure your hotel has a swimming pool if you expect to be here during the hottest days of the year.
During the rainy seasons foul weather can run on for weeks at a time. You will usually find that it's just a drizzle but sunny weather may evade.. So, if your looking for that great California Sunshine, we recommend sticking to the peak travel months for the Sacramento area. These would be from May through September.
