and Forecast:
Travel is comfortable any time of year
in the L.A. area.
The climate is fair and consistant throughout the year at
between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Average annual rainfall isn't
much of a deterrent to travel
either as the months of April through October typically see
less than an inch of precipitation.

Los Angeles is noted for its moderate weather with relatively
modest
transitions in temperature. Warm and very dry air descending from this
Pacific high caps cool, ocean-modified air under a strong inversion,
producing a marine layer particularly from late spring through early fall.
Winds are generally light, with frequent afternoon sea breezes of 10
to
15 miles per hour. While severe weather is uncommon, strong offshore
winds, known as Santa Anas, can reach hurricane strength below passes
and canyons. Also, passing winter storms can bring southeast winds to
gale force. However, for the most part, damaging winds tend to be rare,
or highly localized.
