Olvera Street
This is the oldest part of the city. Olvera street
was named after the first County Judge in 1887 and was converted into
a Mexican marketplace in 1930. No visit to Los Angeles is complete without
seeing where L.A. began. You will feel like you are in Old Mexico with
its interesting architecture as well as the colorful and unusual handicrafts.

La Brea Tar Pits
About 40,000 years ago, deposits of oil rose to
the Earth's surface, collected in shallow pools, and coagulated into sticky
asphalt. The asphalt has subsequently entombed many prehistoric animals
that were not able to escape its sticky grasp.
