Bay State Park
Campgrounds Reservations
Emerald Bay State Park has a "Boat
Camp" with 20 campsites. Boaters can sleep on board their vessel,
or camp in one of the designated sites on shore. Campsites have a table,
storage locker, and fire ring. There are no showers although water is
available and there are chemical toilets.
Emerald Bay State Park also features a great example of Scandinavian architecture
in the Vikingsholm. Tours of the Vikingsholm are from mid-June thru Labor
Day. 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, every half hour. $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for
children, children under 6 are free.

Grover
Hot Springs State Park
Campgrounds Reservations
Grover Hot Springs is in a small
alpine valley of forest and meadows at 6000'. Best known for its hot pool
that is fed by hot springs, A trout creek runs through the park and hiking
trails lead into scenic Forest Service lands. The hot pool and recreation
pool are open all year. During the winter there are a limited number of
campsites available first come-first served, and cross country skiing
and snow shoeing in the valley.

The park is south of Lake Tahoe, three miles west
of Markleeville on Hot Springs Road.

Camp Richardson
Camp Richardson is privately operated campgrounds and with an RV Park
that features accommodations such as: 110 RV sites with water, electricity
and sewer (to 35'), 220 campsites, deluxe rooms at a historic hotel, year
round cabins, a beachside Inn, a marina, and a restaurant.

Campground by the Lake
The Campground by the Lake has a total of
157 campsites, RV park (65') but no available RV hook ups, dump station,
free showers, BBQ's, picnic tables, and fire rings.

D. L. Bliss State Park
Campgrounds Reservations
D.L. Bliss State Park borders Emerald
Bay State Park to the north. It features one of the finest beaches in
the region. The park also has popular hiking trails, such as the Lighthouse
Trail and the Balancing Rock Nature Trail. The beach is especially popular
during summer months.

The park is 17 miles south of Tahoe City on Highway
89, a couple of miles north of Emerald Bay.

Prosser Ranch Group
Campgrounds Reservations
Privately held campground has sites
available for reservation.
Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.

Highway 80 to 89 north for 4.5 miles, turn right
at Prosser sign. Continue for about 2 miles to group site.

Sugar Pine Point State
Park
Campgrounds Reservations
Sugar Pine Point State Park contains
one of the finest remaining natural areas on the lake with nearly two
miles of lake frontage, and dense forests. Deep-line anglers fish the
lake's 300-foot deep underwater ledges for trout and salmon. Another attraction
is the museum in the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion (also known as Pine Lodge),
a summer home built in 1903 in a grove of pine and cedar. During winter,
the park features cross-country skiing areas.

Area

Park is located in Tahoe City, near
shopping malls and restaurants. Picturesque views of Lake Tahoe from the
campground nestled in groves of Ponderosa and Jefferey pine. Sugar Pine
Point SP listed above, is suggested if more secluded campsites are desired.
