Be sure to visit the Old Timers Museum while you're there. Moaning Cavern just 4 miles east of Angels Camp on CA4 in the town of Vallecitos on Parrotts Ferry Rd. is California’s largest, spectacular chamber, visitors enter by descending a spiral staircase or by rappelling by rope 165 feet down.
